Machining

Ashdale Engineering has a purpose built machine shop complete with manufacturing cells to ensure optimum efficiency and cost.

These capabilities service a wide range of industries providing "just in time" (JIT) and stocking facilities.

The plant list and capabilities sections highlight the detail.

A wide range of CNC and manual milling machining centres, lathes, and grinding machines enable Ashdale Engineering to be a one stop shop for all your machining requirements.

The majority of machinery is fitted with either Fanuc, Heidenhein or Siemens controls and linked via a DNC network.

Milling:

The introduction of Matsuura vertical machining centres complete with 4th axis and twin pallets coupled with automated tool changing allows Ashdale Engineering to manufacture components from the raw material stage.

The milling section is also supported by Hyundai, Yang Eagle, and Bridgeport machining centres. This machinery allows Ashdale Engineering to maximise labour resource across multiply work stations and provide competitive prices.

Turning:

Ashdale Engineering has a range of Mori Sieki SL5 and SL7 machines providing chucking, and bar feed capabilities.

The CNC turning capability is substantial and supported by a vast range of tooling.

Conventional turning capabilities are provided through a range of Colchester Mascot and Triumph lathes.

Grinding:

Sub contract engineering companies struggle to offer the required skills involved in operations such as grinding. The long history of Ashdale Engineering has enabled such skills to be transferred over many years to the existing workforce. Ashdale Engineering can offer high standards of grinding for both small and large batch work.

Ashdale Engineering has one of the largest grinding shops in the South of England and can cater for all grinding needs including cylindrical, surface and creep feed grinding.
